The sculpting and finishing are done by hand, so each piece carries the small variations that come with hand work rather than machine moulding. The urli is a traditional Indian vessel used to float flowers and diyas, and here it is filled with soy wax so it can be lit straight out of the box. The metal bowl stays intact after the wax is spent, so it can be refilled or used as a decorative dish long after the festival is over.
