The sculpting and finishing are done by hand, so each piece carries the small variations that come with hand work rather than machine moulding. The lotus pond design layers sculpted blooms and lily pads over a coloured wax surface, so the piece works as a table object even when it is not lit. The metal bowl is solid enough to keep and reuse once the wax has burned down. The candle carries about 175 grams of wax and gives roughly 24 hours of burn time.
